What We Do ...

ASRA CURRENT PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS

  1. PARTS & PIECES - published five times a year, this industry newsletter keeps members up-to-date with executive reports, legislative updates, lobby issues and a variety of items of interest to the membership.
  2. RESOURCE DIRECTORY - this handy annual reference is made available to telephone inquiries, insurance companies, municipalities, counties, suppliers and other users of member services. This valuable advertising tool helps get your services known while conserving your advertising dollars. A list of supplier members is also included for easy reference.
  3. SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS - these important zone meetings provide a forum where members meet to exchange information, develop a consensus on policies and issues, undertake projects and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
  4. GOVERNMENT RELATIONS - ASRA undertakes to keep abreast of federal, provincial and municipal legislative activities which may directly or indirectly affect the collision repair/mechanical industry, employers and employees.
  5. CO-OP PURCHASE BENEFITS - ASRA has negotiated a suite of discount and rebate programs that can contribute significantly to your bottom line.
  6. TORONTO-DOMINION VISA - offers rates of 1.85% for electronic transactions and 1.95% for paper transactions

  16. ASSOCIATION OFFICE - the maintenance of an established association business office provides the members with the infrastructure necessary to insure a proactive association. Members are invited to visit the office and to meet the staff. Your concerns, ideas and suggestions are welcome.
  17. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - provides the membership with the opportunity to meet the executive and vote on by-laws and in elections. Hear yearly reports and voice an opinion on current activities.
  18. ANNUAL CONVENTION - this three-day event brings together members and suppliers in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss industry issues, maintain contact with competitors, and enjoy some R&R.
  19. FALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - a one-day event, held in Calgary or Edmonton allows you to set a common forum where members can access cutting edge business information.
  20. SOCIAL FUNCTIONS - these include regional barbecues, golf, curling and Christmas parties.
  21. INDUSTRY LIAISON - by developing a reciprocal relationship with other associations, ASRA negotiates a more equitable position for the benefit of the members.
