2003 has been a hard year for the independent automotive industry.

Mechanical service and repair shops are continuing to see their market share erode. The new car dealers are getting better and better at keeping your customers away from you. The collision repair shops haven't made much headway in dealing with many of their long-term problems and now facing a labour shortage, things don't look much better. But even in tough times industry members can succeed if they stick together.

Bit by bit ASRA is having an impact on the issues that face your business. Your ASRA reps speak out on your behalf to Alberta Transportation, Alberta Apprenticeship, Alberta Finance, Alberta Government Services, Alberta Environment, AMVIC, the Superintendent of Insurance and even your suppliers. We actively promote regulations that will increase public confidence in automotive businesses and ultimately promote your profitability.

There are so many interesting and exciting things happening in the industry, and ASRA members hear about them first! You can either sit on the sidelines complaining about things that are done to your business and your industry or you can join your Association and do your bit to improve your industry and your business!
