IMPORTANT SURVEY about AMVIC

ASRA has decided to survey the mechanical service and collision repair industry on their perceptions and interactions with AMVIC. AMVIC, the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council, was formed in 1999 to be an industry managed self-regulatory agency that would look after licensing regulations and consumer protection regulations in the automotive industry. The mechanical and collision repair industries are represented by one dedicated seat on AMVIC's nine seat Board. Another two of AMVIC's seats are reserved for owners of automotive businesses in Alberta. These seats, which arguably should be for the ~3000 independent repair shops in Alberta, have more often than not been occupied by new car dealers.

All responses are confidential. ASRA will only report summary statistics. Only the ASRA office will see individual responses. No one from AMVIC, the AMVIC board or the ASRA board will see any individual responses. It is important for us as the trade association that represents the industry to understand how our members and non-member industry shops feel about AMVIC. Please fill out the survey. If you would like more details or wish to elaborate on your survey answers please call Victor Marciano at the ASRA office at 1-800-282-9909.

The ASRA board will review the summary results over the next several weeks and will communicate them to the industry as a whole. They will also be shared with Government.

PLEASE FILL OUT THIS SURVEY.

IT IS IN YOUR INTEREST TO DO SO.
